Torrevieja is a city and coastal municipality in the south of the province of Alicante, within the Vega Baja region. It has 20 km of coastline: from Playa de la Mata to Punta Prima there are numerous rocky coves and wide beaches, 13 in total. The beaches of La Mata, Los Locos, El Cura, El Acequión, or Los Náufragos stand out.
The city offers a wide range of shopping opportunities. It has 2,500 stores of all kinds. It has numerous sports associations, sports facilities, numerous education centers, a private hospital, a public hospital, hotel facilities, and shopping centers such as "Las Habaneras".
At the Real Club Náutico de Torrevieja, members are given classes in sailing, rowing, etc.
Very well connected by plane: 40km from El Altet Airport (Alicante) and 25km south of San Javier Airport (Murcia).

By train: various RENFE stations in Alicante, Elche and Murcia.
By public transport such as bus and boat. Torrevieja has a huge port for private yachts and tourist boats with cruise offers along the coast and Tabarca Island.
