The well-known reservoir “Embalse de la Pedrera” is a mile away from the village in the direction of Orihuela. It is surrounded by a beautiful nature reserve with many different species of birds and where you can observe a spectacular sunset. The village comprises a health centre, pharmacy, garage, petrol station, some small stores and several bars and restaurants. Once a week there is a small market. There is also a public pool that is open in the summer months. In the nearby larger village of San Miquel de Salinas only a 10 minute drive away, there is a large supermarket and a big open market once a week. There are several beaches at a distance of around 18 km and in the vicinity of the village you will find several ‘Old Spanish Fincas’ with orchards of almond-, citrus- and olive trees.
